Spectra Energy (NYSE: SE) Scores Pipeline Contract on Texas LNG Growth

Spectra Energy has signed new long-term contracts to provide pipeline services for the Marcellus, Utica, and Eagle Ford LNG production areas along the Texas and Louisiana coasts.

The contract is to transport 650,000 dekatherms per day, and the first phase of the project will begin with 250,000 per day as early as November 2016. The company expects to meet the transport goal by 2018.

Spectra’s goal is to turn its Texas Eastern mainline into a bi-directional transmission network that can connect its East Coast markets with its Gulf Coast markets.
